Sonors at one of the Sonor drum shows, these are my favorite drums these days.

 

 

This is a German Sonor 5 piece kit that I have. It’s quite a classic because of the fact they stopped making them in Germany not long after this one was made. It’s the wood and the way drums are made that make them good.

 

 

This is an early model Yamaha DTXpress electronic drum kit that I use for practise, recording and teaching on, great for volume control and produces a nice sound.

 

 

My very first kit was a 4 piece Hoshino drum kit, I really wish I had have kept it now, I didn’t appreciate it at the time unfortunately.

 

 

After the Hoshino’s I got a Yamaha kit off my tutor at the time and really loved them back then.

 

After the Yamaha’s I bought a white Tama Swingstar similar to these but a 7 pce, I wish I still had them too 🙂
